About me

I write and illustrate about nature and moments of family life. I enjoy the challenge of distilling my ideas to their essence so that they fit within the compact and poetic format of a picture or board book.

I teach both online and in person, using my own curriculum that combines science and drawing. Students draw from observation, while they learn well-researched and wondrous things about the natural world.

I live in Northern California with my husband, two teens (one of whom is off to college), and my cat. If you are interested in seeing a dummy of one of my books, please contact me. I am actively seeking representation.
